Orienteering Raleigh NC

Backwoods Orienteering Klub, founded November 15, 1978 sponsors events and teaches orienteering in the North Carolina piedmont, around Raleigh, NC.

We invite you to try orienteering with us. Everyone is welcome at all our events. We always offer beginning, intermediate, advanced and expert courses (routes through the woods) at every Regular event.

    The registration for the Sycamore Scramble opened tonight.  The event is on February 20-21, 2010, and will consist of three events.  On Saturday a “Middle Distance” event followed by a “Sprint” in the afternoon, and then a “Classic” length event on Sunday.   • Purdue Orienteering Adventure Race Invitation

    The Purdue Outing Club (POC) would like to invite your organization, school, and friends to our annual 48hr Adventure Race taking place Jan. 16-18th (Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend!). This race is based solely on orienteering and typically takes the full 48 hours to finish.

    We had our Annual Meeting after the Umstead Park  event.    We re-elected Andy and Artem to the Board.  We started started work on the 2010 event calendar and began work on the Sycamore Scramble “A” meet on February 20-21, 2010.    Check out the minutes for details.
