Backwoods Orienteering Klub, founded November 15, 1978 sponsors events and teaches orienteering in the North Carolina piedmont, around Raleigh, NC.

We invite you to try orienteering with us. Everyone is welcome at all our events. We always offer beginning, intermediate, advanced and expert courses (routes through the woods) at every Regular event.

SignalSlinger is a 4 watt Radio Orienteering transmitter for the 80m band.

To program ‘Slinger you will also need a configuration cable and computer or smart phone.

To clone unprogramed ‘Slingers from a programed one you will need a null modem cable.

You will need to supply an antenna. The Slinger Antenna Coil can match a 10′ to 30′ antenna with an SWR under 1:2

To maintain the time when disconnected from the external battery the internal battery is required.
