2023 New Year’s Relay at Bond Park

We will have the usual New Year’s fun event at Bond Park, starting from the Buehler shelter (near the boathouse).

The format is Farsta relay, which is an individual format. Each competitor runs two shorter courses, which combined will cover the same set of legs for everyone. This is achieved by having a few forks in the course and assigning a unique combination of branches to the runners. For example, if on the first run you take branches A, B, A, A, then on the second lap you’ll have to take B, A, B, B. You don’t have to worry about it though, your maps will have the exact course you have to take. In particular, your map will be unique to you.

You have to pre-register for the event here before December 28.

Registration for this event has closed.

We will have a mass start at 1pm from the Buehler shelter. No rest period between the two runs. The courses will be at the orange level for a total distance of about 5km. Bond Park is a great location to try a slightly more advanced course if you are comfortable with yellow courses.

In case you don’t want to run 5km you can pair up with someone and run this as a true relay. You can either prearrange your pair or try to find one on the spot.
