8/6/16 Gray Owl Score Results

Josef set a very challenging score course.  No one got even close to collecting them all.  Joseph got the most controls, however he should be disqualified because of his extensive home court advantage.  There was a 5 point per minute overtime penalty for the first 5 minutes, then 10 points per minute after that.  There was also a 1 point per minute bonus for coming in early.

There is a different feel to events at Gray Owl because we have a potluck lunch and it is a much more social event.  After lunch we set a Radio-O demonstration and a few people hunted the transmitters in preparation for next week’s Radio-O event.

The temperature was in the high 80’s, but the humidity was killer, and that slowed everyone down.  Another glitch was the SI equipment was left in Raleigh, so everyone kept track of their own controls on the honor system using a nail to punch the control description sheet.  Using the SI equipment is way better.
