We have another advanced event this weekend, Sunday June 10, at Umstead West.
Josef Trzicky has, for this event, put together a Memory O. This means that participants will NOT get a map to take with them on the course. Instead, at the start, and at every control, there will be a map to be memorized in order to get to the next control.
This event format will strongly encourage the use of map simplification and the design of bomb-proof route choices. Additionally, it will be particularly important to pay attention to the safety bearing on the course (generally West to the road, although the course does cross the road for a few controls, so pay attention).
This event is open to BOK members with their own SI finger-sticks. Because there are no maps to print for competitors, registration will be left open until Sunday morning, 7:00am.
