Everyone is welcome at this event and we will have a beginners class at 12:30. We will be starting from the south side of the park, the Reedy Creek side just off of I-40, at the large picnic shelter which is to the left of the parking lot at the end of the picnic area. You may start between noon and 2pm, however you must be back by 3:00pm as that is when the course closes and we begin picking up the controls.
Of course you should check back at the website after 10am the morning of the event if the weather is really bad because we may postpone the event if the weather presents a safety problem.
We will have the new, large Umstead Park map for sale for $10.
