Advanced orienteers (must have previously completed an Orange, Brown, Green or Red course) are welcome to our event at Thornburg Farm in Birkhead Wilderness.
Check-in at the farm house and proceed to the remote start.
Location:
From US 220 in Asheboro
– take NC 49 south (you’ll actually be heading west) for 5.5 miles.
– Turn right on Science Hill Rd. (SR 1163) and go 4/10 of a mile.
– Then turn left (south) on Lassiter Mill Rd. (SR 1107)
– The Thornburg Farm entrance is on your left after about 3 miles on Lassiter Mill Rd.)
Start any time between 11.30 AM and 1:00 PM.
Make sure that you report back to the farm house by 3:00, because we will begin clearing the courses at that time.

All courses will have a remote start and a remote finish. You must return to the check-in area after completing your course.
