ARDF & Long O 3/15/20 Umstead N – Results
The weather was cool and then cooler, but with no rain. We used Si-Droid to check people in when they arrived and then used those check ins to make sure everyone returned. It worked quite well. Near the end I looked at the results and was easily able to see who was still out by…

Carolina North results, March 1, 2020
We had a near perfect day for orienteering, except for two things. One is that the event director (Lina) got sick by Sunday morning. Luckily, Joseph and Ruth offered to run the event for her so Lina only had to set things up in the morning. The other incident is a little more worrisome: one…

The weather today was perfect for orienteering and 101 individuals or groups showed up for some fun running through the open woods. The twenty-minute ferry ride from Harkers Island passed by Shackleford Banks, where we hope to have…

Score-O Results
Another fun end-of-year Umstead Score-O is in the books. Sunday brought out nearly 50 orienteers to the north side of Umstead State Park, where 30 controls were spread over 15 square kilometers. Only one runner, Robert Enochs, was able to visit them all; although several competitors came close to Robert’s performance. Robert has won this…
